Yeah, yeah, it's that time again: tocsin \TOCK-sin\, noun: 1. An alarm bell, or the ringing of a bell for the purpose of alarm. 2. A warning. It is just me, or does that word just look awkward. I don't mean awkward like, it can be constryued sexually or anything, but awkward as in it was probably the word in Dictionary High that never got invited to parties. Oh, since I haven't been doing much writing lately, i haven't had much else to share with yas except for these words of the every now and then. However, if you want to get a glipse into my non-writery life, you can check it out over at |

frangible \FRAN-juh-buhl\, adjective: Capable of being broken; brittle; fragile; easily broken. Dictionary.com SO made that word up. Frangible? Seriously? They ran out of words of the day so they started making them up, haha. mmm words... delicious. |

Okay, this one is prolly my favorite word of the day in a long time: dishabille \dis-uh-BEEL\, noun: Anything that's "the state of being carelessly or partially dressed" wins ^_^ That alone is pretty awesome, but the word itself is fantastic. Dishabille? I have GOT to figure out a way to stick that into a casual converstation sometime today... |

Okay world, here it is. At 2:19 on the afternoon of Novemember 26th, I finished my very first full novel. EEK! I'm so excited, but so sad at the same time. I loved working on it, and am sad that it's over. But, at the same time, it's like "IM FREE!" free to do the stuff I've ignored over the past month... like school. Ick. It's also nice to know that it's not like i'm completely done -- oh man the editing that I'll hit this thing with... it won't even recognize itself when I'm done with it ^_^ But, yeah. I'm done. Officially. I typed "The End." Including the period. It was fantastic. Now I just need to count up like 15 pages worth of words, ick. Oh well. |

I have a bobble head santa clause on my desk and whenever I hit my desk, it goes "bobble bobble bobble." ION: Wrote Charlie and James K's death scenes today. I'm very happy with how James K's turned out. Charlie's... well I knew Charlie's death itself wouldn't be that sad because it's part of an action sequence, and that's the thing with action sequences -- you don't have any time to grieve. But tomorrow. Oooho boy, tomorrow are the funerals. I'm kinda excited because Charlie is going to be buried in Balagery -- so Clare finally gets to Balgaery ^_^ I'm hoping I'll be able to make it heartbreaking. After all, Charlie did just sacrifice his life for Clare. I've realized over the last... 30k words or so, that charlie turns out to be a much more tragic/pathetic character than I meant him to be. I mean, he's in love with clare, who's obviously interesting in the annoying rodger, and then at the end charlie sacrifices his own life for clare, and she ends up with rodger anyways. I've always rather disliked reading about characters like that... but i do so love writing them. And i love charlie to (well, even beyond) death, so whatevs. I have no idea my wordcount for tonight, but I wrote 10 pages. HOLY COW I WROTE 10 PAGES! On average, i get about 700 words per page... that's 7k words in one night people! THAT'S INSANITY! I'm thinking it might be less, though, because there was a lot of dialog and short paragraphs, but still. I'm thinking tonight was my biggest night wc wise. I guess cause I was thinking "maybe I'll finish it tonight." But i was right when I said before that I had three writing sessions left. The next time I sit to write will be the time I finally get to type "The End." It will be fantastically depressing. IOON (in other OTHER news): I've realized that the typewriter has started to mess with my keyboard typing skillz. I now type unnecissarily hard on my keyboard, creating a lot of unnessisary noise. But I can deal with that. What drives me crazy is that on my typewriter, apostrophies are made by hitting Shift+8, but on the keyboard, you don't use shift. So i keep typing " instead. So, now i tend to just leave them out all together ^_^ ALRIGHT, ending long post. Gotta go write in a quick paragraph I forgot to add in before I forget about it, and then off to viddle (I feel gross today, so i'm not gonna make a vid, but i have a few that i need to watch)! **edit** I forgot what it was I wanted to add in. It was important, too. Oops. Oh well. |
